1. this cloud!

the cloud could be ominous or hopeful, depending on the light.

2. this snail!

i was trying to make a rosetta, not a snail, but when i saw the snail, i was over the moon delighted.

3. this light!

the pup & i just happened to be on our trail during golden hour. i couldn’t get over the light.

4. these baby trees!

baby white pines, to be specific. don’t they look soft & fuzzy?

5. this creation!

after asking the woods for an offering, i found a piece of curly birch bark that reminded me of a slightly abstract figure. when i added another piece of birch bark and some moss, it reminded me of kokopelli.

in other smile-related news, it is snowing today. i decided that i like snow in mid-may; it’s quirky.

so, what made you smile recently? i’d love to hear.

I saw that it was snowing there… it looks like it will be warm tomorrow, though.
Brady gave me an open mouth drool-filled kiss today. It was so lovely. :)

I must confess that even though I adore him to pieces, that doesn’t sound lovely at all! LOL. But it did make me smile. :)

  2. Beautiful little moments you’ve caught!

Some things making me smile lately:

cats that like to snuggle, walks through the old oak grove nearby in morning light, watching the Planet Earth collection on Netflix, and watching my neighbors new puppies do somersaults in the grass.

Oh, Kimberley, thank you. I can see all of them in my mind – and they are making me smile. Especially puppy somersaults. So fun.

  3. Casey

Feathers! In the mail! Such a delightful & lovely surprise.
    Thank you so much!

  4. What made me smile? Listening to my 15 year old granddaughter describe the dinner she was serving us that she cooked with her Auntie.

The pride that she served was delicious.

Glad you liked the May snow! And Amy probably won’t see my comment, but that kiss did not sound lovely to me either..cute that she loved it though! I guess that is the unconditional love of a mother :)

  6. i’m like helen… late to the party!
    YOU make me smile…
and kokopelli ALWAYS makes me smile.
and all the rain we’ve been having.
one day it suddenly became the golden hour…
    and it was still raining…
and there was a huge rainbow! oh the wonder of it. i looked down at my bare arm and it was made of golden light!
and… loving dogs virtually. so many wonderful dogs.
give the silver puppy a hug for me.
and i think your snail should be your very own barista trademark! they kiss each other you know! so adorable.

I can see it all! GLORIOUS.

A snail-y trademark! It really should. I guess now I need to see if I can create one on my own. Un-accidentally.
