i think of this line – from the song let go, by frou frou – whenever the petals on a flower begin to fade & fall.

there is beauty in the breakdown indeed.

always.

  1. i had never thought of it that way.
to tell you the truth i’ve never liked cut flowers in the house. it’s hard for me to watch them die. and yet. when they’re cut they’re already dying!
your lines here have given me something to think about.
    and it is. beautiful.
    i hope you’re feeling better! xoxo♥
    and that picture… oh my.♥

This is interesting, because you made me realize that I don’t think of them as dying so much as I think of them going through their different stages of life. (I do sometimes wonder if they want to be picked at all, but when I ask, they always say they are happy to bring their beauty indoors.)

Thanks for the well wishes! I will be soon. I hope. I have actually become bored with being ill.

  2. No flower fades quite like a tulip, yes? So much beauty.
