through atlas’s eyes

August 27, 2013

want to see where we’re moving through atlas’s eyes? you can click on the images to see a larger version.

the apple tree is on my grandparents’ old potato farm, not very far away. the rocky beach is eight miles down the road, perfect for a morning run. (there is another beach even closer, though i haven’t been to that one in years.) the sandy beach might be 20 minutes away. the sand dunes might be 20 minutes away. the trail is almost literally a block away.

and in case you’re wondering, that was my beach towel. i always lay a towel out for atlas. he always steals mine. unless someone has an even larger towel or blanket, in which case he will steal that one instead. it’s hilarious.

I think Atlas will enjoy it! ๐Ÿ™‚ I wonder how he’ll react to snow?! ๐Ÿ™‚

A kitty and the woods and a lake he can drink out of. I think he’ll be thrilled.

He hasn’t been thrilled with snow here, but I’m guessing he’ll get used to it. I am bringing my (very neglected) snow shoes.

  2. oh atlas. could we love you any more ???
the blanket story tops it all! LOL.
or is it the one where you’re picking your own apple? LOL.
elizabeth you just moved from one paradise to another. to have beaches like that and that trail so close! WOW.
loved getting my postcard from atlas in the mail yesterday. so cool! nose kisses to the best puppy in the world! xoxo

      He is definitely hilariously adorable.

I am very excited to have the lake so close. It was wonderful to move to Oregon and have the ocean be only an hour away. Minutes away – for a lake that reminds me of the ocean – will be even better!

  3. I’ve noticed the beach towel thing with Nikki. She much prefers to lay on a towel instead of the sand, even trying to push you off the towel if you dare to sit on it first.

Just now catching up on your blog and this photo essay of Atlas in your new home. Know that it will be an exciting adventure for both you, and I’m looking forward to hearing about it. Scritches to Atlas and warm fuzzies to you!
