sidewalk art

April 18, 2013

i saw this chalk drawing on the sidewalk when i was out for a walk with atlas. it was so colorful that i had to run home and get my camera.

doesn’t it make you want to sit down on the sidewalk with your own bucket of chalk? i definitely want to.

  1. What wonderful shapes, patterns and colors! I wonder who created these? Wait for me, I’ll bring my chalks! I’ve not played with sidewalk chalk…well, since I was a kid. I do use colored chalks on my kitchen blackboard though. :o) Happy Weekend, Elizabeth ((HUGS))

  2. yes! the only sidewalk art i ever did was to make hopscotch blocks then play hopscotch for hours it seems!
talk about a NON boredom threshold! LOL

I love sidewalk art. I was so disappointed when last summer a local library was having a day for kids to decorate the sidewalk around the library with art relating to their favorite book. What a miss! I did get to see a few afterwards and they were so fun.

To clarify, my kids and I missed that. My head got ahead of my typing.

Ann: What a fun event! I can see why you would be disappointed. I would be too.

Tammy: I did that too! I actually don’t remember doing much drawing, except once in friends’ driveway with them and my sister. I still love hopscotch and jump on almost every one I see.

    Tracy: I’m waiting for you!
