a sunny saturday at the farmers’ market

June 23, 2012

a friend and i spent a sunny saturday afternoon at the portland farmers’ market, eating lunch and people-watching and wandering around the booths. (if you happen to live in portland, you know this was not today, as evidenced by the rain falling on my window. it was last saturday, which was glorious.)

i was missing my camera – i do so love farmers’ market photos – but then i remembered that i had my iphone.

is that not the best dog sighting ever?! when his person saw that i was trying to take a picture of him, she turned him around so i could see his face. i cannot stop looking at him and smiling. (as a side note, i wonder why i assume the dog is a him. it seems like assuming he’s a her is a much better assumption.) i so wish i could show atlas this picture. i can just imagine his response.

awww… they always look like little
    winston churchills to me.
    they do make you smile!

  2. Why can’t you show Atlas the picture? Is he afraid of iPhones?

  3. Look at all that lush green and lovely edibles…mmm… Oh, the fennel and artichokes! And I love seeing pets in strollers! If I could get our Charlie stroller-converted I would take him out & about. Alas, he doesn’t like. :o/ Silly, kitty… Happy Weekend, Elizabeth ((HUGS))

tracy: good thing you said fennel! i thought those were leeks. good thing i didn’t title the picture artichokes and leeks, which was what i would’ve done only i was trying to save typing. 😉

jerry: i misspoke. i can show him the picture; it’s just that he doesn’t realize what i’m showing him. whenever i try to show him pictures or things on the computer or phone, he thinks i must be telling him that there’s something interesting in the house and he runs around trying to find it. because clearly, it is not the computer or phone. 😉

    tammy: they really do!

  5. this sounds like my kind of day and yes, that dog sighting is priceless!
